Dr. Ruaidhri Neavyn
Dr. Ruaidhri is currently employed as an Adviser on Higher Education Policy with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Department of Education and Skills (DES) in Ireland. His interests in higher education are varied; within his current role his focus is on industry and enterprise engagement, lifelong learning and industry linked HE programmes and skills development strategies. Prior to his appointment as an adviser to the HEA and DES Ruaidhri served as president for over a decade and on separate occasions with two institutes of technology in Ireland; namely the Waterford Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology Carlow. During the course of his career Ruaidhri has also served on numerous regional and national boards and committees including business development boards, chambers of commerce, regional authorities and national bodies representing Higher Education Institutes.
